Plans are underway for a great Media Day in UCLan, a chance to get all our team and writers in one room, along with UCLan's finest creative students, and see what we can produce. We will be interviewing, shooting, editing, photographing, and generally having fun together to create as much quality content as we can.
Our new intern, the redoubtable Ellie Sutcliffe, who we introduced this week, will be on the scene, as a student of the University, herself. We are very pleased to be harnessing some more of UCLan’s journalistic talent.
The Head of UCLan's School of Journalism, Media and Performance, John Holloway, has kindly offered to facilitate this day of creating media content for use on our website and across Wet Zebra’s other digital platforms.
'Publishing is very significant for us at UCLan; our postgraduate Publishing course has recruited over 40 students this year and the course leader has just been appointed as Chair of the Association of Publishing Education. The partnership with Wet Zebra has come at perfect time and gives us the opportunity to share our skills and resources and mutually benefit from the knowledge of both partners.'
After visiting and enjoying a tour of the facilities, Shaun Fagan, Wet Zebra’s marketing director. said:
'I was really impressed with what I saw of the Media Factory with its top-quality production studios, and can’t wait to tap into the greatest resource that UCLan has to offer – the talent of its students, and its academic faculty.'
The day is provisionally slated for early December. Watch this space for more news updates.
