Gary is currently lobbying for votes for his book Hopping Around the World (which you can vote for here). The multi-talented man is also campaigning for the British Sledge Hockey team to be able to travel to compete in a dream championship.

Over to Gary to tell us more:

'I am raising money so that I have the chance to play Sledge Hockey for Great Britain in the upcoming World Championships in Japan.

I have been an international athlete for 15 years, competing at a Paralympic Games for Great Britain in the Winter Games of 2006. Sledge Hockey has always been my sport.

Over the years, we have had to raise money to allow us to go to various tournaments, because even though we are representing GB there is no funding for the team. Which is what brings me here.

I am trying to raise the money for the flights and entry fee for the upcoming tournament, which will start the Paralympic Qualification process for the Great Britain team that I am hugely proud to be a part of.

Any support you can give would be gratefully received so I can fulfil my dreams of competing for my country.

The tournament in Japan starts on November 28th until December 3rd.

Unlike some sports where this is government or lottery funding, Sledge Hockey does not enjoy the same support. So it is down to players to raise the money needed to get to various tournaments.'

You can donate to the team through their JustGiving page. Keep up the great work, Gary!
